So, this year I’ve decided to start of my looks with a lot of nudes. I’ll tell you why I picked this beautiful shade out as my first, being one of those ladies who love neutrals for my everyday wear I thought this would be perfect shade for an every day subtle smokey eye and with a little bit of shimmer !Īnd I love me a good smokey eye in any form! I first heard about this product about three years ago, when one of the shades, Painterly, became a staple in every girls makeup bag. My budget this time allowed me to purchase just one paint pot, so i purchased the shade – CONSTRICTIVIST! Its time to rewind and revisit an old favorite of mine, the highly-raved-about cream eye shadows from MAC Cosmetics. These are cream colored bases available in a variety of shades to help as an eyeshadow primer to punctuate the intensity of your eyeshadow, prevent creasing, remove discoloration or can be used in its own to create subtle/intense looks! So, here are my thoughts about these paint pots & if they’re worth your money & time I would love to try MAC paint (in a tube) to see how that will perform.I’ve major creasing problems & I’ve heard so much about the MAC paint pots, so it’s quite obvious that I was gonna buy one! I am still on a hunt for something that won't budge at all and can even hold my cream eyeshadow (yes Revlon cream quad, I am looking at you). My only con is that it still creases a bit during the day. I really think one pot will last me at least 2 years with everyday use. Eyeshadows stay put and don't get wiped off as you blend them out. Since it is a cream product it really helps powder eyeshadows stick to your lids. The color on the picture is a bit darker than in real life. The color stays on, even in my hot humid summers, without any necessary touch ups until I remove it with makeup remover. It is only true for fair skinned girls as it will look pasty on dark skins. The color blends with the color of my skin so one can't tell I am wearing anything.
I have dark veins on my lids and this product is great at covering everyhing and creating a really flawless canvas for your eye makeup. It can also be applied with a brush but I prefere not to waste it and just use my finger. I hardly touch the product with my finger and I already have enough for the whole lid. Is spreads easily but you have to spread it straight away otherwise it will start drying in a thick layer. Even though Painterly can be used on its own as a natural eye shadow, I bought it specifically as a primer.įirstly its very creamy. I have tried all kinds of concealers and eye primers to hide my discolored eye lids. With Urban Decay not being available in the country it is not easy to find something that really works well. I have been looking for an eye shadow primer for a long long time.
